Order lock initiated!

Hi everyone!

Just a quick update to say that, as mentioned in the previous update, we have initiated the lockdown process of all orders on Backerkit. You should get a notification from Backerkit this weekend to complete and/or verify your survey information so that we can start to prepare for fulfillment soon. Backerkit has started a 48-hour window for you to complete this, at which point your orders will be locked. That means no more modifications or additions can be made to your order. (If you really need to make a change, however, send us a message or an email to [email protected] and we'll try to help you out.)

Charges for any balance due (eg. shipping or addons) will be processed on Monday. If your payment method fails at that time, Backerkit will reach out to you to rectify the situation.

That notification email will come from Backerkit to the email address associated with the pledge (either your Kickstarter-associated email address or whatever alternate email address you may have provided since, eg. to correct any privaterelay.apple.id email addresses). If you don't receive the notification email or aren't sure how to access your Backerkit, you can log in to https://shin-zero.backerkit.com/using your Kickstarter-associated email address. If you still need help getting in, let us know, and we'll be happy to help you!

Locking orders on Friday!

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update to let everyone know that we will be locking orders in Backerkit this Friday! If you haven't completed your survey, or would like to make changes to your order, please do so before Friday so that we can start preparing data for fulfillment. We hope to fulfill in late February or March. (Don't worry if you need to update your address before then -- you'll have a few opportunities to make address changes before shipping begins.

With the orders locking over the weekend, we will process any balance charges to your payment method on file on Monday. If Backerkit has trouble processing the charges at that time, they will notifiy you of the error so you can address the issue.

Thanks, everyone! We've gotten advance copies of the finished books themselves and are taking some pictures today! Expect a flood of beauty shots on Friday! 🙂

Advance Statues!

Hi everyone!

We just got in two test proofs of the resin statues from the factory, and they look GREAT! We recorded a short unboxing vid:

And here are a few pix:

The color of these pix aren't the most accurate (blame our green-ish bankers lamp on the desk...) and the unboxing vid may be a little shaky (it's hard to take a video with one hand and unbox an item with the other...  I'm not a professional photographer...), but the statues look AMAZING. The details are fantastic. The factory did an amazing job.

By now, everyone should have received their survey links from Backerkit, including those of you who chose the "pay-over-time" option on Kickstarter. If you haven't gotten yours yet, message us here on Kickstarter or email [email protected] and we'll help you out.

We'll share more news and pix when we have them.

Advance "Dummy" pix!

Hey, everyone!

Look at what we got in the mail this weekend! ADVANCE DUMMY BUILDS FROM THE PRINTER!

It arrived as a sinlge, shrinkwrapped version of the slipcased hardcover...

The "Kaiju-skin" texture is AWESOME, and the silver foil printing is outstanding. (It doesn't photograph as well under our desk lights, but trust me -- it's chrome-like and reflective!

Inside, however, was a dummy of the hardcover edition...

While this is still an unprinted dummy (blank white pages on the inside), this is representative of what the final books will look...

The innards have been approved by Mathieu and Guillaume, and the proofs have been greenlit with the printer! We should get an advanced printed proof of the Softcover and Hardcover editions in a few weeks; we'll post a new update with pix as soon as they come in! 😎

A note about "Pay over time"

Hi everyone!

We hope you're having a great weekend (and an enjoyable Halloween season...)

We just wanted to post a quick update for those of you who may have used Kickstarter's new "Pay Over Time" option:

While this new option is very helpful for those who need to break larger tier payments into interest-free segments, please note that Backerkit doesn't register the pledge as "complete" until the last payment has been received. Therefore, a fulfillment survey/link is not generated. So you won't receive a survey from Backerkit until after that final payment is made.

It looks like that is scheduled for November 11th for this SHIN ZERO campaign. Since we won't be locking orders until Thanksgiving (~November 28th), you should still have a few weeks to complete your surveys.

We're discussing the integration of this Kickstarter feature with Backerkit now, but that is the current situation. We will post an update after November 11th with news.

If you need any help completing the survey before orders lock on (or around) the 28th, let us know. Frankly, even after orders have locked, we'll still be able to help you out until shipping begins next Spring. 😎 We just want to let you know what's going on, in case you're worried that you haven't gotten your survey link yet.
